Storefront Humber Celebrates its 40th Anniversary
New furniture for the
Adult Day Program!
Storefront Humber was recently awarded a Federal Grant from New Horizons. The grant will be used to purchase new furniture for use at Storefront Humber. The newly purchased furniture will replace the old furniture where it will be enjoyed by our clients in the Adult Day Program.
We hope that the new furniture will enhance our Adult Day Program and allow us to provice exceptional and more comfortable service to our clients.
Accreditation 2009 - 2012
Storefront Humber Inc. once again has gone through accreditation process and we were successful in maintaining our Accreditation status.
Well-Elderly Centre Programs
The Well-Elderly Centre is located right in the heart of Storefront Humber Inc. Our program coordinator focuses on designing both fun and educational experiences for the seniors in the community. Our programs are intended to promote active participation, socialization, and relaxation. Check out the Well-Elderly calendar for a list of current and upcoming events!
The Gem of the Lakeshore Award
Storefront Humber was once again nominated as on of the Gems of the Lakeshore. This award is given to a business or service organizations in South Etobicoke whose exceptional service enhances the community and makes it a more vibrant place to live.




This year marks an important milestone in the Storefront Humber Inc. history. It is the 40th Anniversary of Storefront Humber's beginning. The organization has come a long way; starting with a group of Humber College student volunteers to a multi faceted accredited organization that provides programs and services for seniors and disabled persons throughout South Etobicoke and East Mississauga.

The event was a great success and Storefront Humber has received much praise from the community and our clients. The turnout exceeded our expectations and we would like to thank the community for joining our celebration. We would like to thank all the staff, the board members and volunteers who helped make this event so memorable. A special thank you to Laurel Broten, MPP for attending and being part of the celebration, McDonald’s Restaurant for supplying refreshments and coupons for our volunteers and the band Shakin’, for bringing us wonderful music and making the party so enjoyable.
