Adult Day Program
The goal of the Adult Day Program is to decrease isolation and loneliness through encouraging social interaction and active participation. The program includes meals, personal care, counseling and minor health care. There is a small fee for services. The centre is open Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 2:30pm and one Saturday per month.

Congregate Dining
This program provides an opportunity for members in the community to meet for a nutritious meal, catch up with old friends, and enjoy some entertainment. There are seven lunch programs and two breakfast programs. There is a small fee for the meal.

Foot Care
The Foot Care program provides minor foot care for our clients by a registered foot care nurse. The program runs the first and second Thursday of every month. Transportation and lunch are available at an extra cost.
Grass Cutting and Snow Removal
This brokerage program links seniors with students who provide grass cutting and snow shoveling services. Fees are $9.60 per hour (for students under 14) and $14 per hour (for students 14 and over). A referral service is also available at no cost to the community, in regards to home maintenance work.
Supportive Housing
Supportive Housing sites are available for clients with complex health and social needs. Our workers assist clients with personal care, meal preparation, light homemaking and shopping. Each site is monitored by Lifeline, a 24-hour emergency response service. Currently we provide programs in four Toronto Supportive Housing buildings.
Friendly Visiting
This volunteer based program provides support and companionship for seniors in their own home. Language matches are made whenever possible.
Transportation
Storefront Humber Inc provides transportation service within the South Etobicoke area. We provide rides to the shopping centre, as well as medical rides to your doctor's appointment. We also offer transportation to our foot clinic, congregate dining and lunch program.
Home Help
A personal support worker is available to assist clients with meal preparation, housework, personal banking, and shopping. We also provide escort services to medical appointments.
Home Making Service
A Personal Support Worker is available to assist seniors with personal care in their own home. They can provide assistance with bathing, personal hygiene and exercises. As well as escort services to medical appointments.
Home Maintenance Service
A handy person is available to assist with home maintenance work. Available services include painting walls/cabinets, washing walls/cabinets, installation of air conditioners/smoke alarms, carpet cleaning, and other small repairs.
Client Intervention Service
We respond to referrals from police, public health, concerned neighbours and families regarding risk situations arising in the community involving seniors and adults with disabilities. (Reports and referrals are made to the appropriate parties.)
Information and Referral Service
Storefront Humber can provide assistance with information and referral if you are unsure of where to call about available services for seniors. We will gladly connect you with the proper resources.
Respite Care
This service provides a reliable and trained individual to care for a loved one who cannot be left alone. Staff provide in home relief support that includes individualized personal care, stimulation, and activation.
Volunteer Services
Every year volunteers devote their time and effort to Storefront Humber Inc. Volunteers help in a variety of programs, events and fundraising. If you would like to join our volunteer team, please give us a call.
Well Elderly Program
Our Well Elderly Program promotes a healthy lifestyle for the members in our community. The centre offers opportunities for education, socialization, and physical strengthening. Join us for recreational activities, bus trips and plenty of fun!
