~ Serving the Community Since 1971~
Mission Statement
"The Purpose of Storefront Humber Inc. is to provide support services to the elderly and/or disabled persons residing in Etobicoke and West Toronto to enable them to remain independent in their own homes."
Who We Are
Storefront Humber Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization located in South Etobicoke. We developed out of the growing concern for residents living in the area who were without adequate support to remain independent in their own home. The agency started as a result of caring Humber College students and volunteers and has now flourished to a thriving agency of over 95 employees, providing services to over 2,000 clients.
Message from Executive Director and the Chair
Storefront Humber Inc. has provided services now for 40 years in our community. During the past year the board of directors and staff worked on future development and direction of services and programs needed to support independent living and dignity in the community. Once again, Storefront Humber has gone through the Accreditation process with Accreditation Canada based in Ottawa. This recognition means that we meet national standards of quality for health services. We continue to advocate for additional funds as the growth in senior population increases the need for additional funding for extra services is required.
